Personal Stories

In this section you will find real stories from real people about their experiences with mental illness. The stories represent a variety of topics and circumstances as unique as each person's life. You may find a story here that touches you in some way. Personal stories can be powerful reminders that we are not alone and that we have options and choices. We may find another way to deal with a problem from reading about how someone else managed the same situation. We may simply be entertained by others' stories.

Maybe you will feel inspired to write your own story and submit it to us for publication. The Mood Disorders Association is always looking for personal stories to share with other readers. You don't have to be a professional writer to submit your story.

If you have a personal story to submit or want more information about writing a story for this website please contact us by phone, 604.873.0103 or by email, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
